«I like reality»
In his treatise on the art of painting, Leonardo da Vinci wrote about the beauty of “spots on the wall”, observing, "If you look closely at them, you will discover amazing things."
Sunlight on the sea is happiness! "Flashing garlands" of reflections, swaying on the sea surface, fascinated me since childhood. I always feel child happiness when I see this miraculous effect.
You were happy lying on the beach in the summer of your childhood. ! You did not feel the past, because you had not it, you could not predict the future, because there was not enough experience for you, there was no past or future but only reality. You were happy! Therefore invincible! Lying on the sand, looking at the shimmering sea, you unconsciously immersed in some "sweet, rainbow syrup", some blissful meditative condition. It was like magic. The shimmering atmosphere was mesmerizing with its hypnotic light. Your eyes stared as if there was a shiny chrome object in the hands of a hypnotist and you slowly sank... You saw an image divided into small parts, a unique, chaotic, mosaic pattern as if it was broken and consisted of splinters image, resembling shimmering texture on the waves. Flickering on the water charged the atmosphere with magic, filled it with illusion and romanticism. It was the resting state and balance against the background of the chaos of lights. It was a subtle thing. In fact, this was nothing. It was silence... silence filled with feelings... it was very important to form a larger picture in your imagination, using the intuitive levels of perception, where there were sensations, such as mood or awareness, which preceded logic and affect it much more.
The meditative effect of the frequency of flickering lights on the water organically interacts with the image of the mosaic resembling the effect of pixilation and the symbol of "eternity".
In the artworks, you can see the sensual experience of the reality, rather than telling the story. "Real-time". Cropping without the sun. The fragment snatched from the context enhances the image due to the detachment from the logic of the whole artwork. Apart always makes more impression than a whole. I am not trying to manipulate the audience. I try to get into the essence of the material and let it speak for itself. The paintings depict random patterns created by the sun and the sea. I decide not to complicate but want to give more emotion not experience. I try to charge the atmosphere with happiness artificially. I try to convey the shimmering mood of the seas and oceans shot by me in different countries of the world, as well as to convey my mood, or rather, the mood of the reality.
I like reality!
P.S. "Happiness is measured by the sunny days of your life!" (Heard on the street)
